Doppelbock

Doppel means double and while these are stronger brews than the traditional German bocks, they are typically not twice the strength. They should have at least 18° Plato to be called Doppelbock. There are pale and dark beers of this style, so color can vary from light amber to dark brown. Very full body with a high alcoholic flavor. Low hop flavor and aroma. (RateBeer)
