Aalborg Jubilee Akvavit came on the market in 1946 as a festive highlight of the 100th anniversary of the launch of Aalborg Taffel Akvavit. Hence the name.
It is a golden luxury aquavit made from dill and coriander seed distillate and rounded with American whitish extract. Contrary to most other aquavit, it is completely without caraway seeds. It gives it an elegant, balanced taste with dill and coriander as the supporting forces, but with fine contributions from star anise, citrus and caramel in the slightly smaller roles.
Aalborg Anniversary Akvavit is suitable for fish and pork and goes well with dishes with curry and food from Asian cuisine. And not least, it is made for a piece of curry.
