Comprised of 100% Tepeztate (which takes thirty-five-years to reach maturity), this rare bottling of this unique agave species yields a flavor rich in smoke and terroir driven earthiness, with a green pepper vegetal nose, and soft green apple fruitiness.
In the heart of Oaxaca, the Banhez village families have been crafting this rich, smoky spirit for generations, in traditional ways unchanged by the passage of time. Creating mezcal made from 100% agave, “only the best that seasonal harvest has to offer.” Mezcal enlivens the spirit, bringing us Banhez, or bliss, in the ancient Zapotec language. Of course, like all bliss, Banhez is meant to be savored and especially shared.
