Style: Traditional Ale • 7.5% ABV

Esrum Klosterhas been developed in cooperation with Esrum Abbey as the modern equivalent of the traditional abbey ale. True to the traditions of the monks, the ale has been adapted to a modern palate.

It is a top-fermented ale brewed with barley, wheat and rye malt, cane sugar along with lemon alm, lavender rosemary, juniper and anise that grow in the gardens of Esrum Abbey. The color is maroon, the nose is wonderfully strong and the taste especially full and aromatic. This ale goes well with heavy meat dishes such as venison or on its own. Best served at 10-12 °C.
