2011 Release 10: Rediscovered Barrels
Every once in a while at some distilleries a barrel warehouse worker will run across a barrel or two that has seemed to be hiding for a number of years. They’re like little gems, concealed within the dark corners in the back of a warehouse, just waiting to be rediscovered. These barrels were encountered in just this way.
Eight barrels distilled on 10-28-91, barreled the next day, and bottled on 12-20-10. Aged 19 years and 1 month.
Master Distiller Commentary: The warm and spicy aroma is overtaken by a robust black walnut character on the palate that finishes as thick candied fruit. The flavor lasts an eternity.
