83% on Banyulsvat, 17% on new oak This Oak Aged Batch 19 is matured in Banyuls casks, a fortified French dessert wine from Roussillon, also called Vin Doux Naturel. The smell and taste of banyuls are reminiscent of that of plum compote and cocoa. In addition to floral honey and smoked oak, this smell and taste can also be clearly seen in this batch. In the foreground remains the taste of La Trappe Quadrupel. The mouthfeel of alcohol remains present and complements the complex and sweet taste. The bitter, characteristic of beer, is not affected by this combination. The carbon dioxide gives a slight tingling on the tongue and the smoky taste reverberates in the throat.
