Otto, pictured in the silhouette on the front of the label, is certainly a fat pug. But, being the runt of the litter, Otto is also a stout pug…measuring in at a cool 1’1”. Brewed in Otto’s honor, Fat Pug Milk Stout is a full flavored (fat) stout that remains extremely drinkable. Otto the fat pug can be seen from time-to-time checking in on things at Mercenary, making sure his namesake beer is brewed right.
A variety of roasted grains (pale chocolate, roast barley, chocolate rye, chocolate wheat) combine to produce a complex yet mellow roasted flavor. Having notes of dark chocolate and coffee, Fat Pug Milk Stout is rounded out by sweetness provided by Lactose (the “milk” of the milk stout).
