Released in Europe under the name “Traquair 2010″ and in the US as “Traquair 2020” this was a one time release in 2010 with only 9,600 bottles shipping to the United States. Traquair 2020 is fermented in oak casks for 8-10 days, then conditioned for a few weeks post-oak prior to bottling. Traquair House is a rarity among breweries – they’re very small, brew very small batches of beer and don’t have a high-power, global marketing plan. Traquair produces only 1000 barrels of beer each year – six barrels at a time, and they are the only remaining brewery in the United Kingdom that still uses solid oak fermenters.
