With notes of heathery sweetness indicative of a Lowland malt, yet with the body of a Speyside (which lies only 25 miles to the north), Dalwhinnie truly defies description. The peat slowly intensifies on the palate, yet finishes clean. Exceptionally smooth; A great aperitif.
