Japan is the second biggest producer of whisky behind Scotland, and Japan isn’t one to settle for second best. Yamazaki was the first single malt to come out of Japan in 1923. Similar to a Speyside malt, it is delectably smooth but still has plenty of flavor. Full of sweet flowery tones on the nose followed by warm, sweet grassy tones on the palate.
